Spartan’s Brockpahler receives MCAC honors

M State Lady Spartan pitcher Brett Brockpahler

has been Pitcher of the Week for the Southern Division of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.

For the week, Brett was 2-0 and did not allow a run in her two starts. To open the Lady Spartan’s season, she pitched a complete five inning game shutout against Northland Community and Technical College which the Lady Spartans won 8-0. In game two, Brett faced a very good Itasca Community College team and threw another complete game shutout, this time going 7 inning for the 4-0 win.

For the week, Brett was 2-0, threw 12 innings, allowed zero runs, struck out 11 and walked none. The lady Spartans opened the season with three wins.
