UPS driver who died on route identified

Ricky Riedel, 58, of Battle Lake, was the UPS driver found dead in his truck Tuesday afternoon in Battle Lake.

A passerby saw the truck running on the side of the road at the intersection of 260th Street and County Hwy. 83 around 4:30 p.m., according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

He was lying on the floor of his truck.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie, with the Rev. Jonathan Sorum officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m., at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church.
