FF band students participate in Region Honor Band Festival [UPDATED]

The Minnesota Band Director’s Association sponsored a Region Honor Band Festival for first and second year band students at Horizon Middle School in Moorhead on April 12.

Band students from 27 schools were chosen to participate in this festival.

Guest conductor of the first-year band was Dwight Nelson (retired from Little Falls) and conductor of the second-year band was Verlene Stotts (Discovery Middle School in Fargo).

Band students participated in rehearsals and sectionals, and performed a concert at noon.

Ten students from Fergus Falls were chosen to participate.

Band directors for the Fergus Falls students are Denise Wiese and Josh McGowan.
