Comets compete at Barnesville meet

BARNESVILLE — The Hillcrest track and field team’s Han Gao and Sigrid Haga gave great performances as the Comets competed at the Barnesville Booster track meet Tuesday.

Gao took second in the 100 and 200 meter races and capped that off with a third place finish in the long jump.

Tommy Thompson would take fourth in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs, while Hans Frank-Holzner would take fifth in 1600 meter run.

The 4×800 relay team of Frank-Holzner, Toby Simonsen, Bobby Schultz and Eric Konynenbelt finished in second at the meet.

In girls competition, Haga claimed second place in the 1600 meter run and fourth in the 800 meter run.

Teammate Abigail Christenson finished third in both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs.
