A 5-year-old girl was treated for a dog bite to her face Sunday, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

She was in a family member’s house in the Vining area along State Hwy. 210 when a husky-Labrador cross bit her in the face. She sustained injuries to her cheek and eyelid but did not require stitches. She was treated at Sanford Health in Fargo.

Public Health will follow up on the incident. It is unclear what steps will be taken with the dog.
