Predatory offender arrested for violation

A Level 3 predatory offender who moved to Fergus Falls in November was arrested Tuesday afternoon for a violation, according to police.

Department of Corrections agents arrested George Joseph Hecker for a violation of supervision. Hecker was living in the 700 block of West Cavour Street.

Other charges may be pending.

His criminal history includes sexual contact with girls ages 6-15. The victims were known to the offender. He also has a history of possessing child pornography.

Police held a community notification meeting regarding Hecker in November 2013 when he first moved to town, in the 700 block of East Junius Avenue.
