Fire destroys pole barn [UPDATED]

A fire intentionally set outside Monday near Pelican Rapids spread to a pole barn, destroying it and its contents, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after 6 p.m. on 430th Street, a fire spread to the pole barn. The barn and an ATV and furniture inside were a total loss. The value of the contents in the barn exceeded $3,500.

There were no injuries.

Pelican Rapids firefighters extinguished the blaze.
