1 cited after ‘mudding’ crash

One man was injured and another cited after their two pickup trucks collided while one of them was “mudding” Saturday in Lida Township, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicles crashed at about 8 p.m. on private property northeast of 268th Avenue and 415th Street. One of the drivers, a 27-year-old Brooklyn Center, Minn. man, was cited for reckless driving. He was not injured.

The other driver, a 28-year-old Dent man, experienced neck pain, and a private vehicle took him to Perham Memorial Hospital where he was evaluated.

Upon investigation, two minors also received citations for underage alcohol consumption.
