Inmate punches officer [UPDATED]

A 22-year-old Fergus Falls man who is in the Otter Tail County Jail punched a correctional officer in the face Tuesday, according to police.

The inmate reportedly punched the officer just before 5 p.m. over the policy of not being allowed to sit on the stairs.

The officer sustained a soft tissue injury to the face.
