A Pelican Rapids resident and former Otter Tail County Commissioner is seeking to get elected again, after losing the seat for District 2 in the 2010 election.

Everett Erickson filed for District 2 County Commissioner Wednesday. He is running unopposed; the filing period opened Tuesday and runs through June 3.

Current District 2 commissioner Wayne Johnson defeated Erickson for the seat in 2010.

Erickson joins five others in Otter Tail County who have already filed for various county offices.

The primary election is scheduled for Aug. 12, with the general election Nov. 4.
