Bulldogs down Wolverines 15-4

BATTLE LAKE — The Otter Tail Central baseball team used an eight-run first inning to coast to a 15-4 victory over the visting Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines Thursday.

The Bulldogs would continue to dominate from the plate scoring a run in the second and six more in the third inning. The Wolverines would finally get on the board in the fourth wiht two runs and would add two more in the fifth before the conclusion of the game.

Andrew VanErp got the win pitching five innings and striking out four hitters.

Tyler Aune led the Bulldogs at the plate going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, while VanErp collected two hits and scoring two runs. Teammate Dylan Kalenze also drove in three runs in the win.

The Bulldogs will now wait to be seeded in the Section 8AA playoffs beginning Tuesday.
