Quality Toyota Sports Spotlight: Jennen: Otter runner, snowmobile loverPublished 10:44am Thursday, May 1, 2014
Although it has been hard to find a dry track early in the season, Fergus Falls senior runner Jake Jennen has performed well early in the season taking third in the 1600 meter run at Thief River Falls and winning the 3200 meter run at the Otters’ Wild Oats meet.
Running in several different events including the 400 and 800 meter, one and two-mile runs and relay events, Jennen is vital to the success of the Otter boys track team.
Jennen, a two-sport athlete, spends a lot of time running, but when he isn’t pounding his soles on the pavement, he enjoys snowmobiling through fresh powder.
I stopped by practice to talk with Jennen about his plans for the future, what his favorite pump-up tune is and of course, snowmobiling.
