SUV damages irrigator

An SUV traveling at a high speed hit an irrigator pivot damaging the tire in a field near Perham over the weekend, according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 11 p.m. Saturday, a dark-colored Ford SUV left 460th Avenue, entered a plowed field and hit the irrigator pivot.

The vehicle continued southbound on 460th Avenue and fled the scene. The damage to the irrigator pivot is estimated at more than $1,000.

There are no suspects at this time.
