CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. — The M State men’s golf team continues to improve on its previous day’s totals as it shot a team score of 313 in the third day of the NJCAA Div. III National Championship.

The Spartans remain in the middle of the pack, sixth, with one day left in the tournament.

“It was a solid day for us as we got off to a good start but couldn’t quite finish the round. But we are pleased to improve our score again. Brady Robertson had his best round of the week (79, 244) and Brandon Sletmoen has put himself in position for all-American honors with a good round tomorrow.”

Sletmoen shot a 74 and is currently in seventh place with a three-day total of 224, nine shots off the leader. Rounding out the Spartan golfers were Rob Goff (85, 243), Jared Cowden (80, 248) and Matt Wagner (81, 248)

The Spartans began competing in the final day of the tournament at 8:45 a.m. Friday.
