Letter to the Editor: I’ve had exceptional care at Fargo VA clinic [UPDATED]Published 7:35am Monday, June 9, 2014 Updated 9:36am Monday, June 9, 2014
The news about the present scandal pertaining to the Veterans Administration’s care for veterans is most disturbing.
However, my experience with them has been the exact opposite.
The Fargo VA Medical Center has been my primary care provider for many years and has provided me with timely, expert and friendly care.
The doctors and staff always have a friendly word for you and a very sincere “thank you for your service.”
This facility, along with the follow-ups and easy access to the Fergus Falls Veterans Clinic have been been a real boon for local veterans.
The doctors, nurses and staff (present and past) are always there for you with timely and friendly care. They, along with the very efficient and meaningful help from Charlie Kampa (Otter Tail County Veteran Service officer) and his past and present staff have exceeded my expectations.
Also, my sincere thanks to Sue Thompson, our Posttraumatic Stress Disorder facilitator here in Fergus Falls for the excellent understanding and compassion she has for our group.
To all the above, I extend my heartfelt thanks — you have been my “guardian angels,” seeing me through some exceedingly rough times and helping me reach the ripe old age of 92.
