A 22-year-old Pelican Rapids woman was arrested for criminal vehicular injury and third-degree DWI early Sunday after she drove through a camping area near Otter Tail Lake and injured a woman according to a news release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
The report came in at 2:32 a.m. that a vehicle drove through the camping area, almost hitting tents, near County Hwy. 72 and Graystone Road.
The vehicle was stopped while the 911 call was made, but the driver tried to drive away while deputies responded.
People tried to stop her from driving.
The driver hit a 26-year-old Battle Lake woman with the vehicle. An ambulance took the woman to a hospital.
Her condition was not known at the time of the news release.
After investigation, the driver was arrested.
