Teen sentenced for shower video

A Henning teen who took a video of a teenage girl while she was showering last fall was sentenced Monday.

Darius Feiss Erlandson, 18, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and four years of supervised probation for felony interfering with the privacy of a minor. He pleaded guilty Feb. 25.

District Judge Barbara Hanson issued a stay of adjudication, which is essentially a deal with the court and the defendant that allows an admitted guilty party to have the opportunity to never be formally convicted of the crime as long as the defendant agrees to abide by the court’s guidelines.

According to the criminal complaint, Erlandson made the video between Oct. 1 and Oct. 4 at a house in Otter Tail County. The video, about two minutes long, showed a teenage girl naked in the shower, the report says.
