A Fergus Falls woman who allegedly threatened to kill a cat, and also allegedly had about 29 grams of marijuana in her purse, was charged Monday in Otter Tail County District Court.
Christina Marczak, 50, was charged with felony fifth-degree drug sales, gross misdemeanor obstructing the legal process-interfering with a peace officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the 400 block of East Junius Avenue in Fergus Falls June 7 for a disturbance. Marczak allegedly became agitated, grabbed a knife and threatened to kill a cat she shared with someone else. She also allegedly pointed the knife at other people.
She was uncooperative and appeared to be under the influence of something, the report says. In her purse, police reportedly found nine bags of marijuana that appeared to be packaged and ready to sell, and a scale, along with prescription drugs. Marczak reportedly said the marijuana was medicinal and was packaged in dosage units.
Marczak allegedly was confrontational and took swings at police and staff members when she was taken to detox.
In total, the nine bags of marijuana weighed approximately 29 grams.
Marczak’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 23.
