The Fergus Falls Planning Commission recommended a re-plat and re-subdivision request from Lake Region Healthcare Monday.

No one spoke at a public hearing, and there was no discussion before the commission voted on the request to re-plat in R-2, a one- and two-family residence district, and B-3, a general business district, zones located at 111 Vernon Avenue West. The LRH campus is currently comprised of a series of legal descriptions based on the original lots as subdivided in the original plat of Fergus Falls.

LRH wants the city to re-plat and re-subdivide parts of Blocks 51, 52, 55 and 56 of the original plat of Fergus Falls to make way for where part of the new, 76,000-square-foot clinic will be located. LRH wants to re-plat the property into two lots.

The city mailed out 50 notices and advertised the public hearing, according to Gordon Hydukovich, community development director and city planner.

The recommendation will come before the city council for official approval at its next meeting, July 21.
