Library Board names new member

Mike Evavold is the newest member of the Fergus Falls Library Board. He is a Title I teacher with the Fergus Falls School District.

The city council appointed Evavold at its July 7 meeting.

He replaces board member Tom Johnson.

Many readers take part in summer program

Nearly 1,600 people were signed up for the library’s summer reading program, PAWS to Read, as of Monday. A total of 1,028 of those people are kids going into sixth-grade or younger.

The program is for all ages and runs through July 26. Participants keep track of their reading and can win prizes. Sign up at the library.
