Amanda Pitzel and Jason Wik were married June 16, 2007, on the grounds of the Wik Ranch near Faulkton, S.D.

Parents of the couple are Mike and Bette Pitzel of Frazee and Jay and Randa Wik of Fergus Falls.

Grandparents are Al and Hazel Bretz of Perham, Shirley Wik of Faulkton, S.D., and Harold Blumhardt of Ashley, N.D.

Attendants were Nate Erickson and Lisa Steffen of Fargo; Kevin Cary, Adam Krog, Tyler Tysver and Katie Wik of Fergus Falls; Michelle Shaw and Joy Summers of Perham.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahama Islands, the couple is residing in Jonesboro, Ark.

Jessi Knuth and Rick Garner, along with their parents, Tom and Joanie Fouquette of Erhard and Nancy Garner of Fergus Falls, announce their engagement.

She is employed at Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids.

He is employed at Sears in Fergus Falls.

A Sept. 8, 2007, wedding is planned at Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard.

She is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and is employed at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo

He is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead and is employed at JDP Electric of Fargo

A Sept. 29, 2007, wedding is planned at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes.

Sara Pehrson and Trevor Hanstad of Fergus Falls, announce their engagement.

Sara is the daughter of Gary and Sally Pehrson of Fergus Falls.

Trevor is the son of Jeff and Linda Hanstad of Fergus Falls.

A July wedding is planned.

Anniversary: Hovland and

Doris and Berton Hovland of Fergus Falls, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a private event with their children and grandchildren. They will travel by train to New York City and the northeast in September.

The couple married Aug. 24, 1957. in Rapid City, S.D. They have three daughters, Carrie (Byron Miller) in Fergus Falls, Pamela (Steven Lawrence) in Connecticut and Debra (Douglas Dorow) in Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild (with another expected this fall).

Engagement: Hansen and Benson

James and Ruth Benson of Succasunna, N.J., and Doug and Nancy Hansen of Fergus Falls, announce the engagement of their children, Emily and Nicholas.

She is a 1999 graduate of Roxbury High School in Succasunna and 2004 graduate of Messiah College in Granthom, Pa., with a degree in health and physical education.

He is a 2002 graduate of Hillcrest Lutheran Academy and a 2004 graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, both in Fergus Falls. In 2006, he graduated from Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn., with a history degree.

A Sept. 22, 2007, wedding is planned at Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church in Succasunna. A local reception is planned Oct. 6 at First Baptist Church in Fergus Falls.
