Engagement: Halvorson and Shearer

Amanda Sue Shearer and Jeffrey David Halvorson, both of Fergus Falls, announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Marc and Becky Shearer, Mary Ann Halvorson, all of Fergus Falls, and the late Donald Halvorson.

She is a 1998 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and is employed at Quality Circuits.

He is a Fergus Falls High School graduate and a North Dakota State College of Science graduate in the auto body program. He is self-employed at Halvorson Auto Body.

A Sept. 29, 2007, wedding is planned at Immanual Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.

Engagement: Welle and Nelson

David and Ann Nelson of Fergus Falls, along with Bob and Gail Welle of Fergus Falls, announce the engagement of their children, Nicole and Mike.

Nicole is a 2003 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a bachelor of science degree in nutritional science. She is in her second year at the Medical School of the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

Mike is a 2003 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and was honorably discharged in June 2008 after serving four years in the United States Army Infantry. He was stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Ark., and was deployed for 16 months in Iraq. He is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in business.

A June 21, 2008, wedding is planned at the Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria.

Engagement: Fjestad and Rogness

Loran and Lois Rogness of Fergus Falls announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill, to Zachary Fjestad, son of Greg Fjestad of Fergus Falls and Craig and Rebecca Jorgensen of Underwood.

Jill is a 2001 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and a 2005 graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in dietetics. She is employed by Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina and Minnesota Masonic Homes in Bloomington as a registered dietitian.

Zachary is a 2000 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a degree in scientific and technical communication. He is employed by Blue Book Publications in Bloomington as an author/editor.

A Sept. 7, 2007, wedding is planned at Bethel Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.

Wedding: Lee and

Ashley Kugler and Chase Lee were married Sept. 30, 2006, a Church of the Nazarene in Fergus Falls, with the Rev. Steve Hoffman officiating.

Parents of the couple are Rick and Shari Kugler of Underwood and Todd and Vicki Lee of Fergus Falls.

Serving as maids of honor were Lindsey Hauer and Jessica Fowler. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Kugler, Adi Lee, Amanda Borgos, Ashton Christenson, Cassie Jonas and Heather Evavold.

Best Men were Josh Knutson and Steve Stachowski. Groomsmen were Matt Kugler, Justin Miller, Kole Lee, Andy Price, Matt Price and Jason Price

A reception followed the ceremony at Putters on Pebble Lake Golf Course.

Following a honeymoon in Port Charolette, Fla., the couple makes their home in Fergus Falls.
