Fifty years ago, Jerry C. Mann requested family and friends to witness the marriage of his daughter, Dorothy Lou, to Vernon Howard Jungroth at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 1957, at North United Methodist Church Minneapolis. A reception followed the ceremony in the church parlor.

The couple have two sons, Tom and Carol Jungroth of Crystal and Jerry and Mary of Robbinsdale; three grandchildren, Jim, 21, Kerri, 16, Sky, 8,months; and another grandchild on the way.
Engagement: Hoeper and Jensen
Jessica Jensen and Alan Hoeper announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Rick and Jenny Jensen of West Fargo and Bertie Hoeper of Villard and the late Melvin Hoeper.
She is the granddaughter of Ray and Lorraine Jensen of Pelican Rapids, the late Doris Jensen, Dorothy Burhans of Battle Lake and the late Floyd Burhans.
She is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Moorhead and is employed by Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Professionals, Inc., in Moorhead.
He is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Moorhead and is a student at Concordia College in Moorhead.
An Aug. 18, 2007, wedding is planned at Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo.
Engagement: Lappegaard and Junge
Molly Junge and Chad Lappegaard announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Bruce and Vicki Junge of Fergus Falls and Roger and Sharon Lappegaard of Warren.
Molly is a 2001 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and attended MSU-Moorhead. She is employed by Noridian Administrative Services, Fargo.
Chad is a 1995 graduate of Warren-Alvarado-Oslo High School and graduated from Hibbing Community College. He is employed by the Hawley Police Department.
A Sept. 1, 2007, wedding is planned at Hawley Lutheran Church, Hawley.
Anniversary: Gerhardson and
Bennie and Gen Gerhardson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary during an open house from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, at the Pebble Lake Picnic Shelter, across the road from the golf course club house.
Bennie Gerhardson and Genevieve Fosse were married June 2, 1957, at Little Norway Church in Fertile. Since that time, they have lived on the Gerhardson farm in rural Fergus Falls, originally farmed by Bennie’s father and grandfather. The farm was homesteaded more than 100 years ago.
Their children, Brad and Jennifer Gerhardson, Beth and Kevin Walter, Bonnie and Rick Denzel and Bruce and Stephanie Gerhardson and their nine grandchildren, are hosting the event.
