Engagement: ostvedt and Helland
Bill and Sally Helland of Fergus Falls announce the engagement of their daughter, Sheila Helland, to Ty Rostvedt, son of Tim and LouAnn Rostvedt of Bismarck, N.D.
Sheila graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 2005 and will graduate from MSCTC, Fergus Falls, this spring. She will continue her education towards a teaching degree in elementary education at Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
Ty graduated from Shiloh Christian School and Bismarck State College. He will graduate this spring from the Lutheran Brethren Seminary in Fergus Falls with a certificate in youth ministry. He is employed at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy and will be working in youth ministry this fall at Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in Moorhead.
An Aug. 25, 2007, wedding is being planned at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church in Fergus Falls.
Engagement: Gratz and Koeppe
John and Angela Koeppe of Fergus Falls, along with Janet and Loren Gratz of Hastings, announce the engagement of their children Evan Christopher Gratz and JoHanna Marie Koeppe.
JoHanna is a 2001 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and is a 2003 graduate of Concordia College with a degree in history and religion.
She is employed by Armchair General Magazine as part of the editorial staff.
Evan is a 1997 graduate of Hastings High School and a 2002 graduate of Bethel College with a degree in media communications.
He is employed by Emmanuel Presbyterian Church as the youth and family ministries director.
The couple resides in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
A wedding in Laguna Beach, Calif., is planned this fall.
Engagement: Lubarski and Koplin
Kelly Jo Koplin and Nolan Lynn Lubarski, along with their parents, Rick and Margaret Koplin of Dalton, and Connie and Merece Lubarski of Argyle, announce their engagement.
Kelly is a 2002 graduate of Ashby High School and a 2007 graduate of MSCTC, Fergus Falls, with a degree in nursing. She will be employed by Sun Health Del Web Memorial Hospital as an RN in Sun City West, Ariz.
Nolan is a 1997 graduate of Stephen/Argyle Central High School and is a
2003 graduate of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks with a masters degree in physical therapy. He is employed by Spooner Physical Therapy in Phoenix, Ariz.
A June 2, 2007, wedding is planned.
Wedding: Stach
Melissa Fischer and Kristopher Stach mere united in marriage by the Honorable Judge Mark F. Hansen on March 14, 2007, at the Otter Tall County Courthouse.
Parents of the couple are Arnold and Sandy Fischer and Kraig and Pam Stach, all of Fergus Falls.
Witnesses for the couple were Emily Fischer, sister of the bride, and Jacob Keegan, friend of the groom. The couple also had friends and family present.
A summer reception is being planned.
Engagement: Johnson and Kokkeler
Shannon Kokkeler and Derek Johnson announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are the late Larry and Sheila Kokkeler, formerly of Wisconsin, and Erwin and Ellen Johnson of Fergus Falls.
Shannon graduated from Stevens Point, Wis., High School in 1997, and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 2001. She is employed as a chemical engineer with American Medical Systems in Minnetonka.
Derek graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1995, and the University of Minnesota, Duluth, in 1999. He is employed with The Courage Center in Golden Valley and is continuing his college classes at Argosy University, Eagan. He will begin interning as a histotechnologist this winter.
An Oct. 20, 2007, wedding is planned at Cherokee Park Church, St. Paul.
Engagement: Murfield and Svingen
Kris and Ann Svingen of Fergus Falls and Patrica Olsen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Stewart Murfield of Fairmont, announce the engagement of their children, Elisabeth Svingen and Nathan Murfield.
The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a master of education degree in family education. She is a family and consumer science teacher at Lakeville South High School in Lakeville.
The groom-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Fairmont High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, pursuing a Master of mechanical engineering degree.
A Dec. 22, 2007, wedding is planned at Hope Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
