Beth Lynn Aandal and Joseph Craig Scheidecker, along with their parents, Daniel and Jane Aandal of Thief River Falls and Craig and Janelle Scheidecker of Fergus Falls, announce their engagement.

Beth is a 2005 graduate of Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls. She is working toward her bachelor's degree in business administration at North Dakota State University. She plans to continue on to chiropractic school in the future. She is employed at Scheels in Fargo.

Joe is a 1999 graduate of Fergus Falls High School. He is working toward his accounting degree at North Dakota State University. He is employed at Share House in Fargo.

A Nov. 17, 2007, wedding is planned at First Lutheran Church in Fargo.

Engagement: Carrera and

Schliesman — Carrera

Shawna Schliesman and Mark Carrera announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Pat and Cindy Schliesman of Dalton and Mike and Sharon Carrera of Lumberten, Texas.

She is a 2002 is a graduate of Underwood High School and a 2004 graduate of North Dakota State College of Science in occupational therapy. She is employed at Health South and Skills for Kids in Beaumont, Texas.

He is a 2002 graduate of Lumberten High School and a 2007 graduate of ABC Welding. He is employed in landscaping.

A Jan. 26 wedding is planned at the Bigwood Event Center.

Wedding: Godel and Smith

Smith — Godel

Tammy Smith and Cody Godel were married Aug. 10, 2007, at Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nev.

Parents of the couple are David Smith of Devils Lake, N.D., Julie Smith of Bismarck, N.D., and Craig and Barb Godel of Fergus Falls.

The bride is employed by Innovis Health in Fargo. The groom is employed at Midland Garage Door and PRACS Institute, both in Fargo.

The couple lives in Moorhead.

Wedding: Johnson and McGuinness

McGuinness — Johnson

Kara McGuinness and Matthew Johnson were married Sept. 1, 2007, at Yellowstone Lutheran Church in Billings, Mont., with the Rev. Jim Bjork officiating.

Parents of the couple are Jack and Linda McGuinness of Billings and Randy and Vonnie Johnson of Fergus Falls.

Serving as matron of honor was Katie Lay. Also attending the bride were Adrienna Eberts and Pamela Killoran. Ella Christianson was the flower girl. Stephanie Lackman and Tanya Petersen were personal attendants.

Best man was Joey Cornell. Also attending the groom were Nik Pickett and Ryan Sampson. Carter Ness was the ring bearer and ushers were Matt Ness, Ryan Johnson and Matt Jennen.

A reception at Oscars Park followed the ceremony.

The bride and groom are employed with the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District and live in Soldotna, Alaska.

Wedding: Ahern and

Bennett — Ahern

Carrie Bennett and William Ahern were married Saturday, April 14, 2007, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lowry.

Parents of the couple are Paul and Laurie Bennett of Fergus Falls, Christy and Jim Brewers of Minneota, and Mike and Gail Ahern of Taunton.

Maid of honor was Amy Bennett, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Michaela Ahern, sister of the groom, Bethany Bennett, sister-in-law of the bride, Steph Svec, cousin of the bride, and Shanon Hvezda. Flower girls were Emma Skuza, cousin of the bride, and Sami Krueger. Personal attendants were Sara Clasemann and Sandy Gefre.

Best man was Keegan Ahern, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Bennett, brother of the bride, Ryan Nelson, Josh Randt and Matt Hvezda. Ring Bearers were Henry Skuza, cousin of the bride, and Raiden Moore, godson of the groom. Ushers were Al Svec, cousin of the bride, Justin Moore, friend of the couple, and Lonnie Schottenbauer, friend of the couple.

She is a self-employed cosmetologist at Signature Salon in Alexandria, and a receptionist at Integrated Heatlh Center also in Alexandria.

William is employed by Mark Lee Excavating of Alexandria.

The couple honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica, and resides in Parkers Prairie.
