Kris Schwartz and Carsten Schmidt were married July 7, 2007, at

Augustana Lutheran Church of rural Fergus Falls, with the Rev. Paul Hadland officiating.

Parents of the couple are Steve Schwartz of Sartell, Theresa Krupa and Rhonda and Greg Schmidt of Fergus Falls.

Attending the bride were Kirsten Kragness, Tasha Swartz and Brittany Swartz, friends of the bride, Shawna Schmidt and Sarah Schmaltz, sister's of the groom. Flowergirls were Isabel Schmaltz, niece of the groom, Malayna and Marissa Kragness, friends of the couple.

The groom's attendants were Shane Kragness, Joe Dillard, Jake Sjolie and Dustin Maanum, all friends of the groom, and Mitch Dietz, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Charles Schwartz, brother of the bride, James Schwartz cousin of the bride, Eric Schmaltz, brother-in-law of the groom,

Josh Fuxa, cousin of the groom.

A reception dance was held at the Eagles Club following the ceremony.

The bride is a 2003 graduate ofWillmar Senior High School and is employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and is persuing a degree in law enforcement at the Minnesota State Community And Technical College in Fergus Falls and is employed at Innova industries, in Fergus Falls.

The couple makes their home in Fergus Falls.

Hainlin — Kimball

Stacy Cannady Hainlin and Eric R Kimball announce their engagement.

Stacy is the daughter of Jeanne Cannady and Gary Ruehmann of Richville and the late Jim Cannady. Eric is the son of Carole and Scott Bapp of Fairfield, Vt.

Kali Jo Mark and Brian Thomas Koehn, along with their parents, Steve and Sharon Mark and Duane and Diane Koehn, all of Underwood, announce their engagement.

Kali is a 2006 graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree is special education. She is employed as an early childhood special education teacher with the Fergus Falls Area Special Education Cooperative in Fergus Falls.

Brian is employed with Michael's Pipeline Corporation in Burnsville.

An Oct. 20, 2007, wedding is planned at Zion-Sarpsborg Free Lutheran Church in Dalton.

Engagement: Cushman and

McManus — Cushman

Jim and Gail Mann of Bainbridge Island, Wash., and John McManus, of Rockville, Md., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly McManus to Kevin Cushman of Seattle, Wash. He is the son of Donna Cushman of Fergus Falls and the late David Cushman.

Kelly is a 1995 graduate of Bainbridge Island High School in Washington, and a 2000 graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in interdisciplinary arts and sciences. She is employed at Talyst in Bellevue, Wash.

Kevin is a 1986 graduate of Perham High School, a 1991 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in mechanical engineering, a 1994 graduate of Seattle University with a masters of business administration, and a 2005 graduate of the University of Washington with a masters of science in information management. He is employed at The Boeing Company in Renton, Wash.

A July 2008 wedding is planned at the Seattle Waterfront Marriott Hotel.

Anniversary: Swanson and

John V. and Violet Swanson

John V. and Violet Swanson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 4, with their family.

The Swansons are long-time residents of Fergus Falls as well being raised in Battle Lake and Underwood. Together, they have one daughter, Lissa (Swanson) Pelzer, son-in-law Wayne and two grandchildren, Chantelle and Kyle, who live in Golden Valley.

Shulstad — Hodenfield

Amy Marie Shulstad and Alan Brady Hodenfield were married June 16, 2007, at Central Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids, with the Rev. Zinta Sundby officiating.

Parents of the couple are Tom and Jane Shulstad of Pelican Rapids and Brad and Marilyn Hodenfield of Ray, N.D. Grandparents are Tom and Ann Marie Shulstad of Pelican Rapids, Ken and Lila Sabbe of Fergus Falls, Erling and Charlotte Hodenfield of Ray, N.D., and Gertrude Bjornson of Cavalier, N.D.

Maid of Honor was Angela Sepe, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brenna Pitsch and Jennifer Voigt, friends of the bride, and Louann Hodenfield, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Kristin Haugen, friend of the bride, and flower girl was Ella Backstrom, cousin of the bride. Katie Shulstad, cousin of the bride, served as the personal attendant.

Best Man was Todd Hodenfield, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Logan Case, Derrick Deschamp and Brandon Hauge, all friends of the groom. Ring Bearer was Thomas Withuski, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Nathan Shulstad and Eric Shulstad, brothers of the bride, and Derek Dahlen and Casey Coutts, friends of the groom.

The bride and groom honeymooned at South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

They are both employed at Big Stone Therapies, Inc. as occupational therapists and reside in Ortonville.

Schwankl — Jackson

John and Karen Schwankl of the Ottertail Lake area and Eden Prairie, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Schwankl, to Travis Jackson, son of Sharon Jackson of West Fargo, N.D., and the late Mark Jackson.

Jill is employed with Sonus Network in Plymouth

Travis is employed with US Bank in Bloomington.

An Oct. 5, 2007 wedding is planned at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie.

Engagement: Johnson and Nelson

Nelson — Johnson

Sara Beth Nelson and Adam Gregory Johnson, along with their parents, Wayne and Patsy Nelson of Clitherall and Greg and Dawn Johnson of Pelican Rapids, announce their engagement.

Sara is a 2002 graduate of Battle Lake High School and a 2005 graduate of Anoka- Hennepin Technical College with a Medical Secretary Degree. She is employed at the Fergus Falls Medical group.

Adam is a 2002 graduate of Pelican Rapids High School and a 2003 graduate of Ridgewater College in Willmar with a degree in dairy management. He is employed at the Johnson family dairy and turkey farm.
