Wedding: Murfield and Svingen

Elisabeth Svingen and Nathan Murfield were married Dec. 22, 2007, at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with the Rev. Jon Olson officiating.
Parents of the couple are Kris and Ann Svingen of Fergus Falls, Patrica Olsen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Stewart Murfield of Fairmont.
Attending the bride were matron of honor Kara Melichar; matron of honor Thea Fransen; and bridesmaids Rebecca Svingen, Kate Goepferd, Anna Olson and Theresa Zacharias. Flower girls were Emilee Solberg and Natalie Fransen.
Attending the groom were best man Adam Murfield, and groomsmen Eric Blomstrom, John Svingen, Jon West, Reid Unke and Zach Petersen. Ushers were Jon Fransen, Matthew Gronewald, Nick Olson and Chris Paschke.
A reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Bigwood Event Center in Fergus Falls, and the couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
Elisabeth is employed by Lakeville South High School in Lakeville, as a family and consumer science teacher.
Nathan is employed by Electric Machinery in Minneapolis, as a mechanical engineer.
The couple lives in Burnsville.

Engagement: Harris and Stortroen

Katie Harris and Ty Stortroen, along with their families, announce their engagement. She is the daughter of Jon and LuAnn Harris of Fergus Falls and he is the son of Mark and Donna Stortroen.
She is employed at Clay-Wilkin Head Start.
He is employed at Anderson Land Surveying.
A March 1, 2008, wedding is planned at Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
