Wedding: Jahnke and Karlik

Laura Karen Karlik and Jason Brian Jahnke were married Oct. 12, 2007, at Mount Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church in Mount Bethel, Pa.
Parents of the couple are the Rev. Tony and Karen Karlik of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. and Brian and Elaine Jahnke of Fergus Falls.
Serving as maid of honor was Susan Karlik, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julie LeBar, cousin of bride, Stefanie LeBar, cousin of bride, Christina Piacquadio, friend of bride, Elane Graham and Irene Noraas, aunts of bride. Flower Girl was Jennifer LeBar, cousin of bride.
Best man was Adam Jahnke, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Stephen Karlik, brother of bride, Joseph Karlik, brother of bride, Paul Karlik, brother of bride, Tony Anderson, friend of groom, and Kyle Noraas, cousin of bride. Ring Bearer was Nicholas Sama, friend of bride.
A reception and dance followed at the Valley View
Inn and
Restaurant.
The couple honeymooned in Denver, Colo.
Laura is a 2001 graduate of Curtis High School in Staton Island, N.Y., and a 2006 graduate of Mount St. Mary College.
Jason is a 2001 graduate of Fergus Falls High School and is a sergeant in the 4th Infantry Division of the United States Army. He is serving his second tour of duty in Iraq.

Engagement: Hay and Rose

Jerry and Joy Synstelien of Ashby, announce the engagement of their daughter, Janell Rose, to Jason Michael Hay, son of Nancy and Jonathan Parker of Clearwater, and Richard and Kimberly Hay of Olympia, Wash.
Janell is a graduate of Northwestern College, and is working with chemically dependant/mentally ill clients in Alexandria.
Jason is a graduate of St. Cloud State University and is working with the Maple Grove Police Department.
A May 10, 2008, wedding is planned at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Elbow Lake.

Engagement: Langston and Haugrud

Heather Haugrud and Joseph Langston II announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Tim and Jill Hanson and Terry Haugrud, all of Pelican Rapids, Joseph Langston of Breckenridge, and Joan Walters of Fergus Falls.
Heather is employed by Ellingson Companies, Fargo, and Joseph is employed by Baldwin Supply in Fargo.
A May 10, 2008, wedding is planned at Hope Lutheran Church South Campus in Fargo.
