Larson’s high standards leave remarkable legacy
Published Friday, December 22, 2006
We should all thank Sen. Cal Larson for his many years of service to the people of Minnesota.
I could go on about his achievements, from bonding projects for local roads and schools to his support of state parks and veterans initiatives, but what I admire most about Sen. Larson is his heart for serving others. It is evident in the way he treats everybody he
meets — with respect.
From community leaders to school children, he is always willing to listen and lend a helping hand.
In the legislature, one does not pursue so many good ideas, much less get them passed into law, without having a true conviction for serving others and the ability to garner support from both sides of the aisle.
Thank you, Sen. Larson, for setting the standard high. You are a true leader, statesman and friend.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Post a comment
