Sheidon wins 8 Second Challenge
Two Minnesotans finish second and third

Jason Sheidon of Bartlett, Neb., won the 8 Second Challenge bull riding indoors competition held over the weekend at the Red Horse Ranch Arena northeast of Fergus Falls. He edged out Ryan Schumacher 171 to 170 to pocket the top prize of $2,089.
Prize money went to the top 10 finishers. Two of the bull riders are from Minnesota. Schumacher, the second-place finisher, is from Stillwater and the third place winner, Cameron Weddell, is from Milaca.
Barrel riding also took place this weekend at the Red Horse Ranch Arena, following the bull riding. Taking seventh place in barrel racing was Justine Botner of Fergus Falls. Her time was 15.92 seconds for a winning prize of $107.

An enthusiastic audience watched bull riding competition and barrel racing Saturday evening at the Red Horse Ranch Arena.
The first-place barrel racing winner was Jill Bradburn of Elko. Her time was 15.32 seconds for a winning prize of $494. Taking second place was Tammy Whyte of Eau Claire, Wis. Her time was 15.39 for a prize of $430.
