Let’s make our rodeo popular
Published Tuesday, August 14, 2007
With the PRCA rodeo coming to the Red Horse Ranch Arena just north of Fergus Falls this weekend, it’s important that the event gets local support.
The rodeo, like the many other summer events in the area, brings visitors to Fergus Falls. Those visitors — many of whom are from other parts of the country in the case of the rodeo — will stay here, shop here, and visit our community.
By attending the rodeo and making competitors, their families and friends, and rodeo enthusiasts feel welcome in Fergus Falls, we can ensure this great event continues in the future. By showing off our community, it is the also hope that some of those visitors may one day consider moving here.
Let’s make the rodeo a popular one this year.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Post a comment
