A suspect sought by Alexandria Police in connection with a theft from the Wal-Mart there has not struck locally, Fergus Falls Police Capt. Steve Adams said.

Two arrest warrants for Robert Darrell Boettcher, 31, of Andover, have been issued. The Minnesota Department of Corrections has also issued a warrant. Boettcher is allegedly involved in recent thefts of $2,000 worth of flat screen TVs from the Alexandria Wal-Mart.

Boettcher is known to drive a four-door, 1994 maroon Cadillac with Minnesota plates UJW188. The car is not registered to him and he may have changed his plates, according to police.

Boettcher is a person of interest in similar incidents at Wal-Marts along the I-94 corridor from Alexandria to the Twin Cities, Alexandria police said.

Anyone with information regarding Boettcher should call their local law enforcement or Alexandria Police, 320-763-6631.

This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.
