Sievert becomes certified diabetes educator for FFMG

The Fergus Falls Medical Group is pleased to announce that Amy Sievert, RN, CDE, has successfully completed the certification examination for diabetes educator and is now a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE®).
Sievert, who has been with the Fergus Falls Medical Group since 2004, has been instrumental in the development of a diabetes self-management education program which has helped many people in this community live a healthy lifestyle with diabetes. By undergoing the required training required to achieve Certified Diabetes Educator status, Amy demonstrates specialized knowledge, thereby promoting quality of life for people with diabetes.
The Diabetes Self-Management Education program at the Fergus Falls Medical Group acquired a certificate of recognition from the American Diabetes Association in May of 2005.
This program, along with quality health care professionals such as Sievert, ensures quality education is available for people living with diabetes.
