Mohagen newest ‘ambassador’
Pageant director says event was a success

There’s the mayor, the big otter, and the lakes. Now, the newest ambassador of Fergus Falls is a ribbon-dancing, high school boy.
Dan Mohagen was crowned “Mr. Fergus Falls” Monday night after a comical spoof on pageantry took place at A Center for the Arts.
“It was really good — the whole program just flowed,” Pageant Director Lisa Olson said. “I’d love to do it next year.”
Olson, who has done the pageant before in Battle Lake, said her first year running it in Fergus Falls went smoothly.
Emcee Jesse Thorstad “kept the audience laughing,” Olson said, while 10 gentlemen from Fergus Falls High School competed in the pageant, each with unique, humerous talents. Taylor Ashworth was crowned “Mr. Almost Fergus Falls,” Ike Johnson was “Mr. In Your Dreams” and Mitch Smith won “Mr. Personality.”
