Farm Credit Services moving to new facility
Published Thursday, July 26, 2007
Continued growth has led AgCountry Farm Credit Services to build a new office on Tower Road next to Mills Fleet Farm. Construction is scheduled to begin in August, with an anticipated May 2008 completion.
“Due to growth over the last 10 years, we’re out of space,” said Leon Keller, branch manager. “We’ve added employees and there’s just not enough space anymore. Our office continues to expand in all business lines, so a new facility is needed.”
“Square footage of our new building has not yet been determined, as the drawings and design have not been finalized or approved,” said Diana Huseby of AgCountry headquarters in Fargo.
Customers were notified last week via mailing of the change. The facility at 920 Pebble Lake Rd. will be used until the new structure is ready to be occupied. Then it will be sold.
The new office will feature conference and meeting rooms, allowing AgCountry to expand its customer education offerings, as well as accommodate customer/staff meetings in a confidential setting.
The new location, next to Mills Fleet Farm, will provide extra convenience for customers, Keller said. Many people served by AgCountry live out of town and it will make their trip more convenient if they can stop at AgCountry, then Fleet Farm for agricultural products, in one stop.
AgCountry Farm Credit Services provides credit and financial services to farmers and ranchers. The Fergus Falls branch serves more than 475 customers in Otter Tail and Wadena counties and northern Todd County. The Fergus Falls office is manned by 13 employees, including loan officers, financial services specialists and customer service representatives.
Specialties include loans, leases, tax planning, preparation and management, record-keeping, multi-peril and crop hail insurance, credit life insurance, appraisals, retirement planning and marketing education and training.
“We’re committed to maintaining a strong presence in this region,” Keller said. “We look forward to serving the needs of our customers for many years to come.”
