Critter tales contest winners announced
Published Saturday, October 20, 2007
Welcome back to the bark side of life here in Ottertail where damp days and chilly nights welcome in the promise of winter — a reservation has been made and the cold days ahead us are marching slowly our way. The leaves have been falling like tear drops from the sun. In some trees, bathed in glorious color and splendor, they still hang on, awaiting their final fall to their eventual demise.
This week, we have the winners of the “best critter tales” contest. Catch next week’s column for the conclusion of last week's tale, “Vietnam Halloween.”
Here are your winners. They will receive their prizes at the location of the business that helped sponsor this contest. There will be gift certificates and other prizes that the winning contestant will receive upon visiting that particular establishment.

I think it's time to thank our sponsors for their much-appreciated support this year: Wal-Mart, Cooper's Technology Group, Country Store, Don Pablo's, Mexican Restaurant, Dave Peters Jewelry, Dan's Vacuum and Sewing Center and City Bakery.
You folks were terrific. I'm sure these winners will enjoy your gifts.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Post a comment
