What will be the price of combating global warming
Published Thursday, October 25, 2007
A few days ago while listening to the radio, I heard the lady from the Prairie Wetlands Center mention Rachel Carson. Hearing her name of course causes one to think of her famous book, "Silent Spring", which was published in 1962. This book stated that DDT was decimating many bird species, especially eagles and other predator type birds. She and other researchers also said that DDT along with many other new chemicals was a very dangerous carcinogen.
In 1972 DDT was banned in the United States by the EPA. Before that ban occurred, the EPA's administrative law judge, who had gone over all testimony concerning DDT said that there was no evidence of danger to man, birds or animals from DDT.
The EPA banned DDT anyway.
During the time that DDT has been banned in the US and throughout the world, it is estimated that 300 to 500 million people have died needlessly from malaria alone. It is becoming increasingly clear to almost everyone that DDT is a valuable and safe chemical in the fight against mosquito borne disease. DDT is being used again to save human lives in many parts of the world.
The reason I mention the DDT fiasco, is because in many ways, it resembles the global warming hoopla that is occurring today. Rachel Carson is gone, but we have Nobel Committee Dingbats, Al Gore, UN Committees and environmental activists from all over the world to carry on the torch of misleading junk science.
There is no proof of human caused global warming, and in fact a close look at data points up the fact that human activity has very little impact on global climate at all. Carbon dioxide makes up only a very small part of so called green house gasses. Water vapor makes up approximately 95 percent of green house gas in the earths atmosphere.
The earth's climate has fluctuated since the beginning of time, and will surely continue to do so, no matter what we do. Humankind has been around during many changes in climate and has survived quite nicely. Humanity will survive and prosper through any future climate changes, if only we can keep Al Gore and his ilk from tying millstones around humanity's collective neck.
Even though human caused global warming isn't proven to exist, Al Gore and other liberal elites want to raise taxes on all users of energy and increase regulations affecting everyone in order to solve this non problem. Keep in mind that everyone on this planet who lives, breathes and eats is a user of energy, either directly or indirectly.
If Al Gore and the other elitists get their way, and we do try to combat global warming, what will the ultimate price be? How much human progress in the future will not occur because of all the taxes and regulations put in place in order to solve the non problem of global warming? How many serious problems will we not attempt to solve?
How much freedom will our descendants lose because we were foolish enough to go along with this elitist grab for power?

Very well said Austin. Thank you. I am sure you will now be the target of much anger in this forum. It is amusing to watch.

Freedom of speech is a wonderful concept, but at times I wonder if it is worth it. At times it simply becomes a magnet for any sort of drivel oozing out of the medieval mind, as it oils its way across the floor attracting the dust of discarded superstitions until it congeals into a disgusting glob of mind numbing words of embarrassment to any one but the most base of our species.

Way to go Mr. Culp! I could not agree with you more. Our planet will be just fine no matter what we do to it. And if it's not, so what? It's not like we could have done anything about it!

Reasonable people can argue the cost in monetary terms of Global Warming but to deny its existence or effect coupled with endorsing DDT is amazing. Simply amazing, or to borrow a phrase from chipmunk, MIND NUMBING.

I don't see where the author is denying the "existence" of global warming - he is denying that humans are causing it - BIG difference. But I would say that the analogy to the DDT issue was a poor choice.

O.K. Austin, why not show us all just how safe DDT really is. I'm sure we would all love to watch a video documentary of you snorting and eating it, and even bathing in it. Heck, I'm sure we would all throw in for the cost of your first-class, round-trip ticket to some third world country where DDT is still in use. You can show us all how it's just another big conspiracy perpetrated by the power grabbing liberals. Ready to put your health on the line or are you just as confused about reality as your post alludes? It's as if maybe you've gotten your degree from the Halfwitty/Limpbone school of obfuscation.

I have been reading the online journal and all the posted comments for several months. Despite many controversial articles and comments, I have not been moved enough to create an account and respond...until today. Unfortunately, I am so overwhelmingly astonished by Mr. Culp's complete and total idiocy that all I can utter right now is, "Wow".

"Remember when the NYT was screaming about how we were entering a new ice-age in the 70's? Have things changed that drastically in the past few years?"
Yeah, and remember way back in the 1960s when people were all worked up over the use of combustion fuels? And remember how back in 1964 Farrington Daniels wrote the book "Direct Use of the Sun's Energy," in which he states...
"Plans should be made now to develop substitutes for combustion fuels-- coal, oil and gas... Research for new sources of heat and power is long overdue."
Well, here we are, ALMOST HALF A CENTURY LATER, still constantly using our combustion fuels everyday and what has happened? Has the world ended in the last 40 years and I'm just not aware of it? Did everyone die from air pollution in the last 40 years and I just missed that news spot? Did our atmosphere suddenly vanish and the planet freeze up and I just didn't notice? I don't think so. These environmentalists are nothing but a bunch of left-wing, elitists who think they're better than everyone else because they went to "Yale" or "Harvard." Give me a break. Just because you people are incredibly intelligent doesn't mean you somehow know something that the average person wouldn't. For example, what types of things are detrimental to our planet. How about you just worry about yourself and leave everyone else alone. There's a reason I live in the country and that's because of a little thing called FREEDOM. Why don't you take your fascism somewhere where it's welcome, like France.

You know what else helps prevent mosquito borne diseases, such as malaria? Nets. That's right, nets. The beautiful thing about nets is the fact that there are no side effects, such as wiping out peregrine falcons. Our blessed administration has the opportunity to fund the provision of nets. Nets are cheap, nets are clean, nets make slightly more sense than bringing back DDT. Here is a portion of a United Nations Foundations press release (yes, some of us still support the idea of the United Nations, even after they disagreed with George Bush about Iraq's nuclear weapon stockpile):
Every 30 seconds an African child dies from a malaria infection transmitted by a mosquito bite. Every day 25 million pregnant African women risk severe illness and harm to their unborn children from a malaria infection. Malaria can be prevented through a simple, inexpensive measure: sleeping each night under a net treated with insecticides that kill mosquitoes or stop them from biting.
$10 covers a family of four for a duration of four years. The Iraq war costs taxpayers an estimated $195 million per day. The math? One day's cost of the war could provide safety nets for 78 million people. Again: 78,000,000 people. If they were americans, would we do it? One day of Iraq or 78 million lives? That's a quarter of our population. These families, children, and unborn babies are just as important as you and me - what a small price to pay.

Did you honestly just argue that the cost of combatting global warming will be too much, so we should just continue on as we have been and not even try?
Wow. Do you live under a rock?
Posted by sally (anonymous) on October 26, 2007 at 10:51 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Nets? The risk of malaria with using nets is probably still extremely high. Think of camping in a tent in Minnesota - those pesky mosquitos find the way in anyway. There are more mosquitos in African nations. Drs. use known carcinogens every day to combat disease because the benefits outweigh the risk for cancer. More studies should be done rather than rely on political hyperbole. Africa wants DDT, it works. 5 people die every 30 seconds from malaria, I don't think the cancer rate will ever get that high from DDT. That's just my thoughts.

Yeah, nets. Do your research.
Posted by chipmunk (anonymous) on October 26, 2007 at 11:44 a.m. (Suggest removal)
Sally, the mosquitoes in Vietnam were just as sneaky as those in Minnesota. When in base camp we used nets supplied by the U. S. Army and no mosquitoes ever broke through unless your net had a hole in it or you tucked it in wrong. However, if you feel a mosquito net is to restrictive may I suggest a large plastic bag over your head.

Chipmunk - You are the epitome of the word fool. Sally expressed an opinion you don’t like/agree with, so you suggest they kill themselves? What an idiot. You prove you have no “liberal tolerance” and are nothing but a liar and a narcissist by making such an outrageous statement.

I am not a researcher, just an American with a thought I expressed. There are allot of thoughts of yours that I don't think should be given expression...so let's just have a law that no one can express a view. I thought "liberals" were open minded and liked the free expression of ideas. I'm not here to argue with your thoughts, just express mine. So, heres another thought... Maybe Chipmunk is engaging in projection. My brother is a Viet-Nam Vet too, he experienced the horror of that war, and he is nothing like you. My father served in WWII, he was nothing like you. My father in law was a Frogman and a Navy Seal in WWII, Viet Nam and Korea. He was nothing like you. I have seen his photographs - he went through hell too. But he was nothing like you. We choose to be what kind of person we are. Your choice is evident. Good news is, you still can make a new choice.

Freda, Thanks for pointing out the error in my last post, where I said “to restrictive” I should have said “not restrictive enough”. I certainly did not mean the Sally should kill herself, I merely meant that she should experiment with a plastic bag to see if it allowed more or less mosquitoes to pass. I would have thought that even a conservative would have enough common since to remove the bag before one reached the point of suffocation. Perhaps you should call your friend and check on her. By the way Freda you never thanked me for that song I penned for you.

Sally, it is quite evident that you are not a “researcher” that goes without saying. You however, must be a physic to know so much about me when we have never met. Perhaps you could put your talents to good use and tell us how this “Global Warming” thing will work out in the end. Did you know that Al Gore would get the Nobel Prize before anyone else.

Sally,
I completely agree with your viewpoints and thank you for expressing your opinions! Never mind what this character Chipmunk has to say. Freda said it best "Chipmunk - You are the epitome of the word fool". I've read some of Chipmunks other posts and it seems he is only trying to get reactions from people. Chipmunk even resorts low enough to suggest someone place a bag around their head? And then Chipmunk says "I certainly did not mean the Sally should kill herself, I merely meant that she should experiment with a plastic bag to see if it allowed more or less mosquitoes to pass". Then Chipmunk turns it into a political issue about whether or not someone would pull off the bag when they ran out of air? C'mon, who is he/she fooling. Keep up the good work and continue to shoot down any foolish or other narcissistic characters out there.

Freda, Sally and Delilah, I was wrong, apparently conservatives are not smart enough to take a plastic bag off their head, failing to understand that, I’m sure any explanation of the concept of sarcasm would also be lost on you. You three must be a real joy to live with.

Interesting how Chipmunk can say in one of his posts "You however, must be a physic to know so much about me when we have never met". But then in the next post he claims to know us by saying "you three must be a real joy to live with". Kind of hypocritical if you ask me. I also find it interesting how he can take an innocent article, and an innocent debate and turn it into something personal and argumentative. This seems like it should be held in a Chat Room type forum dont you think? Sally and Freda we will never win against a narcissist like this so please keep in mind it will always be an uphill battle. As I am writing this post I am wondering who is the real joy to live with. Sally, good terminology also! A "projectionist" definetly suits his character! Wonder who the real NUT is here?

Chipmunk, I knew as soon as Delilah made his/her first post who she was. Just like in her past three usernames she begins by joining a discussion in progress by agreeing with someone who was whining about you and then immediately begins to get personal with you and then encourages others to take up her fight. How predictable.

Al Gore recieved the Nobel Prize for making a political movie, plain and simple. If you are wondering what the 11 inacuracies in his film were, here is a link to the ruling by the UK High Court. The High court ruled that if a teachers do not explain that "An Inconvenient Truth" is a political movie and that it only shows one side of the argument, they would be guilty of a crime; political indoctrination.

Do you mean to say that Al Gore’s movie is not 100% correct? Well I guess that means that Global Warming is not happening. Ergo, the earth does not revolve around the sun because Galileo was wrong about his “three comets theory” in 1618
Posted by ffprofessor (anonymous) on October 26, 2007 at 8:47 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Freda, the link you provided is merely the interim report of one court in England and is on appeal.
This report also states that the final judgment found nine inaccuracies not eleven. Keep in mind that this report is from “The New Party” a political party that also wants “creation science” taught in English schools, and “Evolution” if taught at all, taught with a disclaimer that it also is a political theory.

Chipmunk, I have enjoyed your witticisms for some time now, along with Venti, bigkahunaburger, edrule, the professor, Exegesis, Rumpusgoopus and a few others. I would like to hear more from Exegesis, I think he tends to keep people on their toes. You all have something to say that is worth hearing, some of you say it with humor, caustic wit and sarcasm, others with reason and logic. You can all be serious or funny. There are others who merely waste time and space , such as sally, mermaid, Freda, Delilah, GRWhitcop and zepher. I wonder if they actually read what they write before they post it. I would be embarrassed if things they have written came out of my mouth, it’s like they just blurt out any thought that a reasonable fifth grade student would suppress for being thought stupid. Anyway keep up the good work all of you, don’t be intimidated or sidetracked by the spacewasters they are just bitter because you can articulate a coherent sentence. Chipmunk, what is this about a song for freda, I missed that?

Lenny - Question for you...Do you think Chipmunk, ffprofessor, exegesis, etc "read what they write before they post it"?
And, Do you think this clan, or shall I say clique (if you know what that means), "blurt out any thought that a reasonable fifth grade student would suppress for being thought stupid"?
Yesterday one of the posters told a lady to put a bag around her head because she simply stated a mosquito net did not work the way she thought it would? Is that a blurted statement? Wouldn't a fifth grader even know this statement to be stupid?
You may be one with this clique of posters, but you haven't the slightest idea that you are only doing the same as them. Freda, Sally, myself, mermaid, GRWhitcop, and zepher have not wasted any more space than your clique has wasted. Interesting to note that when your clan is confronted on an issue they wont answer the REAL issue at hand. I especially enjoy SWEETPEA's posts as she seems to gang up on anyone and everyone when someone confronts chipmunk or others in your clan? Hmmm, wonder if phone calls are being made to people in order to increase the back-up, and numbers to defend your rightful clique.
Good day!

The meaning of words can be found in a book called a DICTIONARY. Say it with me D-I-C-T-I-O-N-A-R-Y, very good, here is your sucker. Now Chipmunk is implying that Freda is "a big swedish milk maid, with hands so big she could milk two cows at once"? Nice judgement considering anyone who posts to him is automatically responded to with such phrases as "You however, must be a physic to know so much about me when we have never met". Interesting how he can know everything about everyone but when someone assumes something about him the war is on!
By the way, I should say he most likely meant PSYCHIC and not physic? I dont believe his spell checker was working that day? Correct chipmunk?

Lenny,
Welcome back and thanks for playing the POST-IT game. Thank you for agreeing with me that he "blurts out any thought"! I appreciate you knowing what the definition of your own statement meant, and am impressed you were able to recognize an example of such said statements.
Second, why would someone have to stoop to this level to try to get a point across? Could sarcasm really have something to do with this? Or would characteristics such as intimidation, aggression, or careless be more accurate?
Freda was making a point, a very nice point I shall add, and then here comes a sarcastic poster who avoids the conversation and instead suggests she place a plastic bag on her head!
Looking forward to the next game of POST-IT!

I understand you have problems with reality and time, but even you should be able to see that chipmunk was already posting when Freda
burst on the scene at 1:08 pm a full one hour and twenty four minutes after chipmunks previous post, and that’s when the personal attacks and name calling began. She immediately calls chipmunk a fool, an idiot, a liar and a narcissist, which you repeat. I could not care less what she calls chipmunk, he can take of himself, but I do wonder why a woman who claims to be such a good Christian and follower of Christ would use such hateful language. Remember when the big stink over “Life Church” was being argued on this site? Here is her quote from September 7th, 2007 at 5:59 pm “Bitterness and resentment will only hinder the plan God has for your life.” (advise she felt comfortable foisting on others) It sounds to me like she should practice what she preaches . Does that make her “hypocritical” as you say in your 6:25 pm post?

Good evening ffprofessor,
So glad you decided to stop by again! Nice to see you are busy defending Chipmunk and the others who are part of your clan of posters. I wonder if Chipmunk or others recruited you to this article in their defense. Funny how you and the others will not address the issues you are confronted on, but instead make new issues...such as the Life Church quote you so graciously provided. I do appreciate your comments and you have the right to day as you please. Please note though, others in your clan are constantly turning these posts into negative diatribes, and bickering dissertations. I assume you know what these are since you are supposedly a professor...possibly from Gilligans Island perhaps? Gilligan also needed a defender when he was on the island!
Oh, how the witty comments keep flying on this site. I believe you once stated "isnt this type of format for chat rooms" Well, I ask you...shouldn't you and your clique be writing your comments within a chat room format? Just answering your previously dated question? hmmm, interesting?
Good Nite professor - please make sure Gilligan is tucked in and he has his cup of water on his night stand!
As always,
Delilah

Mr Chipmunk,
I dont know why you have taken such offense to my posts. I was merely expressing an opinion and now I am pathetic for doing so? May I ask...is this Iran, or Iraq? I did not know the freedom of speech was limited within this environment? or is it?
You call me GRWhitcop and I have no idea as to what you are speaking of. I do note however, after looking at posts under that name that this individual recanted the statement in one of his posts to another poster. GRWhitcop even went as far as stating he misspoke and made a mistake in regards to the directions of the doors. You can look this up under the posters name also. It is all in black and white. Second, I have not seen you apologize for anything you have stated, or misspoke about in this forum...specifically telling someone to place a plastic bag over their head? Was this really a fair statement? I think not. But then you spin the statement and state sarcasm as the reason for your quote. Third, I have read statements from you where you state you know certain individuals on this forum. Chipmunk, you have reason to know who posters are on this forum, you only need be concerned with the posts for which they provide their opinions or expression. I know this may be a hard thing to do, but letting others speak without biting at them with harsh statements is golden!hmmm...interesting is it not?
Til we break acorns again,

I know this may be a hard thing to do, but letting others speak without biting at them with harsh statements is golden!hmmm...interesting is it not?

Chipmunk, I found your song for Freda, ha. It’s a laugh riot. I can’t see why she hates your guts? I can just see a robust ham fisted milk maid sitting between two cows, with arms extended in both directions, each with a hand full of udders. By the way I remember the Sky Line nightclub and Jimmy Jensen. I think he is still alive and living in Alexandria.

Delilah-betrayer of men, I have never ever uttered a phrase like "isnt this type of format for chat rooms". I would never abuse the English language like that. But if you must know and are to fat and lazy to look it up, it was your bosom buddy “Sally” on September 26th, 2007 at 1:18 pm. Does it ever bother you to be so wrong, so many times, on so many subjects, in front of so many people? There comes a point when you loose all creditability on any subject. If you think because you are anonymous no one will know who you are, you should think again. Any poster on this site can check the other user names that chipmunk mentioned and recognize your style of writing, the reuse of familiar words and phrases and the sheer stupidity of your child like arguments. You can change usernames every day and just one post will reveal you.

Hey Del. I thought you were supposed to be so tight with Sally and Freda and Mermaid and GRWhitcop and the zipper I mean Zepher. What happened to that deep friendship of like thinking minds. Where are they. Do you know what I think happened? I bet they clicked on your other usernames and read some of your other posts. They are now staying as far away from you as possible, even they don’t want to be linked with you. TOO BAD, SO SAD

So defensive ffprofessor! WOW! I must have struck a nerve? My apology for stating YOU said chat room format when I actually was meaning to put reference to your clan, group, clique, etc! Are you following me yet? This last post of yours almost sounds as if you are thinking of me with a stalker type mentality? I am correct that you stated GRWhitcop was a "stalker" for responding to Chipmunk correct? You seem to be a little bit of a stalker yourself. Why is it that whenever you all point out something about someone you all do the same exact thing in a short matter of time...hypocrite maybe?
And now, after all of this you are even resorting to name calling such as "fat" and "lazy"? Is this how a professor should be speaking to someone who is just voicing and opinion? What if anything was so bad for what has been said before? You appear to be losing self control...
Were you able to tuck Gilligan into bed for the night?
Learn from you later,
Delilah

Well sweetpea...youre back! Nice of you to rejoin this conversation. I have never had any other usernames other than Delilah and am quite take back that you of all people can not accept this!
As for my other "friends"...I dont need them to defend me as you all are defending each other! Give it a day or two... they will most likely be back. I dont think they are on this as much as your clan is! But keep checking you never know what will happen next.
It reminds me of the famous saying...
Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get! Does this make sense to you?
Stay tuned for the next episode of the POST-IT game sweetpea. By the way, nice name! It suits you perfectly considering I know exactly who you are, address, age, etc! Need I say more?
Good nite sweetpea - sweet dreams!

ooo- Delilah! you must have access at the Daily Journal! ;0) Or maybe you just have as much time as ffprofessor/chipmunk/sweatpea to read all the posts by every username and compare all the phrasing and writing styles. And then more time to spend mulling over who is who and who is paying attention to him and which identity gets the most attention. What do you think???? It reminds me of "Who's on First" from Abbot and Costello, and it's almost as amusing.

I thought this was about DDT and the cost of combating global warming. If we wait another decade, or at most a century, the global temp. will likely be 0.7 degree cooler. Maybe DDT will really end up helping make the planet cooler, humans have so much of an impact you know. You have a right to disagree and ignore me, just like I have a right to disagree and ignore you.

I wonder what would happen if a person worked in a branch of law enforcement and his boss found out that he was a cyber stalker and used his state owned vehicle to park outside someone house at night to stalk that same person. What if he was also using his state owned computer to send unauthorized emails and the receiving party kept them.

In this debate I’m siding with chipmunk, at least his posts are coherent and original. Whereas GRWhitcop follows chipmunk around these pages like a little puppy, constantly nipping at chipmunks heels, or should I say paws. GRWhitcop’s problem is he never has an original thought of his own, he simply bemoans whatever chipmunk happens to be posting on at the time and if anyone points this out GRWhitcop whirls and turns on that poster as well. GRWhitcop is obsessed with chipmunk in the clinical sense, his obsession appears to be all consuming. He can not get through the day without resorting to his neurosis, and is not fulfilled until chipmunk satisfies his delusion and reason for living.

After reading the posts after the letter to the editor titled "Why can't they get a guy in a cave" (or something like that) I am worn out, but I think I understand that chipmunck is really paranoid and thinks that everyone new is his old freinds accross the street stalking him again. Especially if we have conservative views. Maybe his multiple personalites are all trying to stalk his friends, but they aren't posting anymore, except those above?? I don't know if they are posting or not, but I know I am not one of those people. I hope chipmunk can trust me on that. It would be nice to continue posting, but I am pretty tired of all this, and think I am wasting my time with all these liberals anyway. See you when there is some new letter in the Journal.... maybe.

And all that being said, chipmunk must be lenny too, since "lenny" mentioned it got quiet after "chipmunk" talked about the stalking and the law enforcement. I think I understand now. Or, he is playing us all for attention. Maybe both, one for each personality... FREAKY! Is the moon still full yet?

Sally, You should have done a little more research, If you had you would have discovered that I was parroting the same wording GRWhitcop used (against me) in an earlier post on the very same day five hours earlier at 5:22 pm at “Why can’t our troops get to a guy in a cave” I signed my name to it because I wrote it. Once again I was using sarcasm. I wish you would look it up in a dictionary, perhaps if you understood the concept of sarcasm you would not look so foolish now. Never mind, that might be too much research for you, I’ll do it for you “1: a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain2 a: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual b: the use or language of sarcasm”.
I realize I may have confused you again by using another new word (parroting) above. So I will provide the definition of that word also,”2parrot Function: transitive verb Date: 1596 : to repeat by rote” It keeps getting more confusing doesn’t it Sally. I’ll help you again “3rote Function: adjective Date: 1641,: learned or memorized (by rote)” Now write these three new words down on paper so you won’t be so confused the next time you make another wonderful discovery.

Chipmunk, So what is the story with the stalking old friends of yours? Are they really still posting, or is it you pretending to be every one of them? Such a childish game is going on on this website. You dish out sarcasm but can't take it. Many posters have been attacked by you for there sarcasm, humor or poking at you, somehow you are the only one who has the right to it?? I think everyone should ignore you, but you'd just post under other names and keep playing childish games.

Sally, it sure got noisy all of a sudden when you returned . Apparently the bag did not work. Yes, sally you got me I really am chipmunk, and I’m Jimmy Hoffa too, and Judge Crater, and Amelia Earhart and now I’m a big mosquito looking for someone without a net.

Just like sally. I have real truble believing a woman would think cyber stalking is funny I hope it not happen to you sally. That’s how it started on the www.

Anyone taking any of this seriously needs their skull examined. Wasn't this article originally about how the Nobel voters are big dumb-dumb heads? It's my opinion that they should be replaced by several experienced critical thinkers in Otter Tail County.
For the record, every word is spelled correctly - without MS Word spell checking - and that's on an education from a "liberal" arts college, which should drive some of you nuts.

wow - I saw that there were 74 posts on this topic, and was excited to see what people actually thought about Global Warming (you know, an intelligent, insightful, energetic yet respectful debate?) - but alas, most of it is nothing more than the same old personal, petty bickering that seems to happen far too frequently on this site.

sorry venti what does your 9:58 post mean?
Posted by Venti (anonymous) on October 29, 2007 at 1:52 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Oh, sorry. After reading the last 50 comments here I was under the impression that having meaning was not a requirement of any given post. My bad.
Plus, it's from this movie called "Identity," with Jon Cusack and Amanda Peat, I watched this weekend on TV. It's about this guy with multiple personalities but you don't know he has multiple personalities until the end and then all the other personalities die except for the killer and Amanda Peat and then the killer personality kills Amanda Peat and then the guy with the personalities kills some other people cause the only personality that's left is the killer personality. It was crazy. And with all these accusations flying around about having multiple personalities here, I thought it was rather appropriate. You all sound crazy. "chipmunk is actually this person too." "sally is really this person sometimes." And "he forgot to change his personality this time." Who cares? I'll talk to each of your personalities just like it were the real one. I don't discriminate. Unless you're a killer. Then I refuse to talk to you.

Yes Chipmunk the nets in Viet Nam were effective at keeping the mosquitoes and rats off you at night. Agent Orange was actually better as a mosquito repellent, but it was sticky. If you mix DDT with Dr Pepper and drink it, there isn't a bug around that will touch you, at least that's what Al Gore drank and look how smart he is.
Posted by chipmunk (anonymous) on November 2, 2007 at 2:53 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Jerry, I never tried that particular mixture, but it sounds yummy. There were a lot of other things that would keep mosquitoes’ at bay, but few we could talk about on this page. Remember “Bam me bie” beer or “33”, if it sat for any length of time the formaldehyde would separate from what ever else was in there. I suppose I could mix up some “nokmow” for Sally that would keep the bugs off her.
