We have had a great time celebrating Senior Center month and we wrap it up next week with one more mini-resource fair and special entertainment.
Health Options which will be featured on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. includes information on home health care, medical equipment, services for the blind and health emergencies.
Special musical entertainment on Tuesday at 11 a.m. will be provided by Orlin Fick and on Thursday, our very own Senior Center Kitchen Band under the direction of Vivian Kugler will be playing.
If you plan to stay for the noon meal on either of these days, be sure to make an advance reservation for the spaghetti on Tuesday or the chicken salad on Thursday.
We hope you have enjoyed all of these special programs during September as we celebrated National Senior Center Month.
Senior Surf is next Monday at 1 p.m. and still has openings so if you wish to bone up on your internet and web site surfing with help from Mary Jane Hay, call 736-6842 and join the group.
There are also openings for a free consultation with Attorney Jamison Cichosz on Wednesday afternoon. Call the office for available times.
The last time I checked, there remained one opening for Medication Management on Thursday. Check this by calling 736-6842.
Finally — another very important reminder. Next Monday, the 24th, is the pancake and sausage feed at the Senior Center with serving from 3:30 to 7 p.m. And don't forget, there will be a bake sale with those "goodies" to take home. As usual, there will also be great music. Come, join the fun. I'll be looking for you.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Post a comment
