Janelle Vipond

Vipond joins Security State Bank:

Janelle Vipond has joined the staff at Security State Bank in its data processing department. Janelle has 20 years experience as deputy treasurer of Grant County, and most recently was employed by Otter Tail County. She is on the board of the Grant Area Diggers JO Volleyball program. Janelle and her husband, Tim, farm south of Wendell. They have two daughters.

Kasper Joins Bank of the West:

Bobbi Kasper has joined Bank of the West as a home mortgage consultant. In this role, Kasper is responsible for mortgage lending and is based in the Fergus Falls branch at 120 N. Mill St. She also supports Bank of the West branches in Wahpeton and Lidgerwood, N.D., as well as Elbow Lake and Breckenridge. There are 26 Bank of the West locations in Minnesota.

Kasper has more than 16 years of mortgage banking experience and previously served as a mortgage loan officer at Bremer Bank.

Curves ‘gets physical’ in cancer fight:

Curves of Fergus Falls is joining Australian superstar Olivia Newton-John in the fight against cancer. Curves is a worldwide presenting sponsor of The Great Walk to Beijing 2008 — a fundraiser that will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre Appeal — and has pledged a minimum $1 million donation to the event.

Curves of Fergus Falls will participate in the fundraiser through an April in-club promotion that will have members "walking along" as Olivia Newton-John, Curves founder Diane Heavin, and other celebrities, sports heroes, business leaders, corporate partners and cancer survivors trek 142 miles (228 km) over some of the oldest and steepest portions of the Great Wall of China. 7th District Nurses Association celebrates profession:

The 7th District Minnesota Nurses Association will again be hosting a “Nursing Extravaganza” on Monday, May 5, 2008, for all nurses and nursing assistants in our area. This event to celebrate nurses will be held at the VFW in Fergus Falls.

National Nurses Week will again be celebrated nation wide from May 4-10, 2008. The theme this year is “Nurses Making a Difference Every Day.”

Nurses all over the country will be recognized for their commitment and loyalty to their patients and to healthcare.

Hoeper joins Security State Bank:

Maggie Hoeper has joined the staff at Security State Bank in their teller/customer service area. Maggie has been in the banking industry for seven years. She is a graduate of Fergus Falls High School.

Century 21 sales reps honored:

Realizing that customer service is an integral part of its commitment to professional excellence, Century 21 Real Estate LLC has recognized Andrew Olson, Gay Folden, Scott Norton, Michelle Pearson and Tom Verhelst of Century 21 Vista with the Century 21 Quality Service Producer Award.

This national award is presented annually to those Century 21 System members who receive a minimum satisfaction index of 85 percent. Surveys are emailed to all customers immediately after the purchase or sale of a home through a Century 21 System office.

"The Quality Service Producer Award is an integral part of the Century 21 System's commitment to excellence and recognizes these agents' dedication to continuously exceeding the service expectations of clients," said Alan Olson, Broker of Century 21 Vista. "Only 8 percent of agents nationally achieve this service level.
