Bulldogs clip Cowgirls 16-6

BRECKENRIDGE — Abbey Evavold went 4-for-5 and drove in four runs with a homer and two doubles Monday as Otter Tail Central crushed Breckenridge 16-6.
Carley and Lindsay Nelson both collected three hits in the 19-hit attack. Jen Severs, Calley Nelson and Laura Trosdahl all came up with two hits.
The Cowgirls were held scoreless until the fifth when they erupted for five runs.
“We got out to an early lead then lost our focus in the fifth,” said OTC head coach Eric Olson.
The Bulldogs are now 6-0 overall going into a home game Tuesday with Bertha-Hewitt.

ASHBY — Danielle Holcomb went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and five RBIs as the Arrows won their home opener.
Kelly Falk backed up Holcomb’s hitting and pitching by going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs.
Tonia Fitzsimmons, Amanda Johnson and Andrea Moe all collected two hits for the Arrows.
“We’ve bee playing pretty good defense this season and today we opened it up offensively,” said Ashby coach Joey Andreasen.
The Arrows will host Hillcrest Tuesday.

PERHAM — Mallory Malikowski supported her own pitching cause by going 4-for-4 as the Yellowjackets edged the Vikings.
Kim Brill was 2-for-4, scored twice and stole two bases for Perham.
Jess Olson, Jenna Bakken and Alyssa Colosky all had two hits for Pelican.
Kaitlin Sillerud was hung with the loss.
