The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Posted by really (anonymous) on April 23, 2008 at 2:12 p.m. (Suggest removal)
Way to go Fergus Falls! Finally something that people can't take away from our school!

Just be positive about it! Stop complaining! Fergus Falls has a great school! The Journal doesn't always do it's best by showing the positive side to our school. For instance, we have high school students that come into the elementary classrooms and the younger kids love them. They also have a great thing going with the Prairie Wetlands. But, do you see the Journal writing about it? No, instead they pick up acticles on surrounding schools and how wonderful they are when we have the same things here and sometimes more! My point is the community is suppose to support it's schools and not hinder them. Check out the Echo Press www.echopress.com they have an article in there about the cuts the Alexandria schools are making as well.

Really,
My comment was supposed really supposed to be a negative...maybe a little. I think we should be very proud of our music program. I think it is a great program, but how long is that going to last amongst these cuts. How long will we have things to be proud of?

A big part of what I've been doing has been covering local schools.
