Otters return to full strength

LITTLE FALLS — Distance standout Joel Weller ran a personal best in the 1,600 Tuesday as the Fergus Falls Otters returned to full strength for the Little Falls Quadrangular.
Cody Peck turned in a strong 400 time and Jason Adelsman came up with a good long jump. Josh Hofmann and Thomas Logan led Otters in the 100 dash.
Fergus’ 4x400 relay team of Kylie Zenner, Sarah Erickson, Susie Kitzman and Haylie Zenner beat their previous best by seven seconds as they won the event with a 4:11 time.
Haylie Zenner had with a runner-up finish in the 800 with a time of 2:32.10 and was third in the 1,600 with a 5:39.10.
Erickson was second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.89 while Hannah Draxten took second in the 300 hurdles with a 52.14.
The Otters also placed third in the 4x200 with a time of 1:54.9.
Lizzy Link was third in the 200 dash with a 27.96 and fourth in the 100 dash with a 13.25.
The Otters will compete in the Alexandria Quad Tuesday.
Haugen paces Vikings in Barneesville Early Bird
BARNESVILLE — Matt Haugen placed in four events Tuesday as the Pelican Rapids boys competed in the Barnesville Early Bird.
Haugen won the high jump, took second in the triple jump and ran legs for the 4x400 and 4x800 teams, which took second and third respectively.
