Lady Spartans win pair

WORTHINGTON — Erin Evavold came up with five hits, six RBIs and one pitching victory Monday as the Minnesota State CTC Lady Spartans swept Minnesota West.
Evavold drove in Nikki Kneisl with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth as the Spartans the opener 9-8.
Kneisl also collected three hits in the victory and scored three times. Brittany Quistorff and Claire Parks combined for four hits, four RBIs and four runs.
Evavold fanned four and walked three in going the distance.
Laura McCarthy led MSCTC with three hits as the Lady Spartans won the second game 5-3. Evavold and Quistorff combined for four hits.
Emily Christenson walked three and fanned two in gaining the win.
