Adelsman leads Otters to runner-up finish

ALEXANDRIA — Jason Adelsman turned in another strong performance Tuesday as the Fergus Falls boys took second in the Alexandria Quadrangular.

Adelsman jumped 6-2 in the high jump and 20-7 1/2 in the long jump for victories in both events. He also ran a let for the winning 4x400 relay team, which posted a 3:42.9. Joining Adelsman on the team were Seth Prazek, Joel Weller and Cody Peck.

Peck notched an individual championship in the 400 with a time of 54.12.

Josh Hofmann, Sam Norman, Ike Carlson and Thomas Logan combined for a runner-up time of 46.56 in the 4x100.

Weller gave the Otters a third place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:10.45. Chase Kolle ran the 300 hurdles in a third place time of 45.53 and was third in the 110 hurdles with a 16.87. Andrew Hanson was third in the 3,200 with a 24.87,

Simon Erlandson continued to impress with a fourth place finish of 37-11 in the triple.

Peck gave the Otters a fourth in the 200 with a time of 24.87.

The Otters saw their 4x800 relay team of Andrew McGuire, Caleb Overgaard, Michael Bajzik and Andrew Hanson run a fourth place time of 9:28.34.

“We had some nice performances from the usual group,” said Fergus Falls head coach Randy Hansen.

Three Fergus discus men topped the century mark for the first time this year. Lars Ronnevik led the group with an eighth-place toss of 112 feet. Preston Anderson recorded a 109-5 and Ike Carlson went 105-11.

Alexandria won the quadrangular with 425 points. The Otters took second with 285.5. Little Falls scored 249.5 and Parkers Prairie had 181.
