Kummrow not seeking re-election; 3 seats open

Published Monday, August 25, 2008

Tom Kummrow

Three school board positions will be up for grabs in the 2008 school district election. Starting August 26, school board candidates can file for election at the district office at 502 Friberg Avenue North. Cost is $2.

Long-time board member Tom Kummrow will not be running for re-election. Kummrow has served on the board for the past 25 years.

“It’s time to have somebody else be a part of it,” Kummrow said.

Matt Lemke, who served this term as the board’s chairman is planning to run for a board position again.

Tarma Carlson’s position is also up for grabs.

Board members rotate positions on the school board. Melanie Cole, who has served as vice-chairperson for the past two years, is expected to step up as the chairperson for the upcoming term.

Filing for council and mayoral positions also begins tomorrow and runs through Sept. 9. Information is available at Fergus Falls City Hall.

Do I smell another campaign for Jamie Cooper?

you are the first to suggest that I could consider running for school board.
no one has asked me to do so, or I would consider it.

I would consider voting "Tom Kummrow" for Mayor if were to decide to run!

Would you also consider jumping off a bridge if someone asked you to do so? Might be a good alternative...??

workingmom, as apposed to?

"jamie you shouldnt run for anything, expect from fergus" - igotclassof68,

lighten up,
You pudding nazis are ridiculous.
it is narrow thinking like yours that has brought this city to its current depressive state.
what gives you the right to dictate what is funny and what is not?
whats next? laws against medical dictionaries? or spitting out 25 cents worth of pudding in your own home?, maybe it's the vile act of having a sense of humor?
that video has over 20,000 views.
when was the last time anything from Fergus falls accomplished that?
you would rather run me out of town than tolerate 20,000+ views?
is there any wonder so many leave a town with this ideology?

"that video has over 20,000 views.
when was the last time anything from Fergus falls accomplished that?"

In my opinion, sitting at your computer and hitting "refresh" doesn't count as a legitimate view.
