Snow proves treacherous on area highways

A car headed eastbound went into the center median and rolled near mile marker 56 on I-94 Tuesday morning. The driver is pictured being assisted to an ambulance by a Ringdahl worker.
Slippery roads sent vehicles into ditches throughout the county Tuesday but resulted in no serious injuries.
A Parkers Prairie man walked away with only a minor cut to his hand after his vehicle overturned south of Clitherall around 7 a.m. Tuesday. Douglas Conway, 45, was traveling westbound on County Highway 38 when he was unable to stop at State Highway 78, according to the sheriff’s office. His Chevy sport utility vehicle went through the intersection, entered the ditch and overturned.
An Ottertail woman was transported to Tri-County Hospital in Wadena after an accident along State Highway 29 Tuesday morning. Lona Alli Fraki, 26, was traveling westbound when a vehicle driven by Thomas Reinhardt, 41, Pepin, Wis., pulled into traffic from the side of the road. Fraki was taken to the hospital with chest and leg pain; her vehicle was totaled. Reinhardt was not injured.
A dispatcher with the State Patrol said accidents along the I-94 corridor near Fergus Falls Tuesday were minor. Several vehicles ended up in the ditch, but there were no serious injuries.
In one incident, a woman walked away without injury after her car overturned in the eastbound lane of I-94 near mile marker 56.
Accidents continued into Wednesday with a rollover along the Interstate between Dalton and Fergus Falls around 7:20 a.m. The State Patrol reported minor injuries.
