Wyatt will meet his new dog

You might remember the Dec. 29, 2007, story in The Daily Journal about little Wyatt Herrmann, the 6-year-old Dent boy who was diagnosed with autism two years ago and uses nonverbal communication to communicate. The story went on to explain that Wyatt has a problem wandering off, and his family held hope of getting the boy a $14,000 companion dog to help care for the boy.
That day comes tomorrow when, at a fundraiser in Perham, Wyatt is scheduled to meet his dog, Ivan, for the first time. The fundraiser will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Perham. The original story is archived at www.fergusfallsjournal.com.
If you like mixing your dinner with great jazz music, you’ll be out of luck for the next few weeks. The Jazzy Fox Bistro will be temporarily closed for floor refinishing and retiling Jan. 21- Feb. 7. It will reopen Friday, Feb. 8.
