Dairy Days on hold until summer 2009
Published Thursday, June 5, 2008
For the second consecutive year, Dairy Days in West Otter Tail County will be absent from this summer’s schedule. Dairy Days was last held in 2006.
“Hopefully, we’ll again have Dairy Days in 2009,” said Darla Marty, a member of the American Dairy Association Board for West Otter Tail County. “For the past two years, we as a board have been unable to coordinate an event with area farmers. Hopefully the next two years will be better.”
Dairy Days usually runs for two successive years in parts of West Otter Tail County. Regions represent dairy farms near Pelican Rapids, Fergus Falls, Underwood, Dalton and Battle Lake. In some years, Ashby (Grant County) also is included.

The Daily Journal is happy to host community conversations about news and life in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. As hosts, we expect guests will show respect for each other. That means we don't threaten or defame each other, and we keep conversations free of personal attacks. Witty is great. Abusive is not. If you think a post violates these standards, don't escalate the situation. Instead, flag the comment to alert us. We'll take action if necessary. It's not hard. This should be a place where people want to read and contribute -- a place for spirited exchanges of opinion. So those who persist with racist, defamatory or abusive postings risk losing the privilege to post at all.Post a comment
