Comets land two on all-conference baseball squad

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy of Fergus Falls joined Brandon-Evansville in landing two players on the 2008 Pheasant Conference all-conference baseball team.
Honored from Hillcrest are infielder and pitcher Tim Erickson and outfielder and pitcher Jamie Stedjan. Named all-conference from Brandon-Evansville were outfielders Mike Bertrand and Kyle Walter.
Also named to the all-conference team was Mike House of Ashby, an infielder and pitcher.
Co-MVP awards went to Travis Radermacher of Ortonville, an infielder and pitcher, and Luke Schmitz of Wheaton-Herman-Norcross, an outfielder.
Three Ashby players were named honorable mention. They include Tyson Langlie, Kurt Mickelson and Jordan Lillemon. Also gaining honorable mention for all-conference was Ethan Wentzel of Hillcrest Kyle Bruns and Tom Sullivan of Brandon-Evansville.
Ortonville won the conference title with a 12-1 record. In second place was Wheaton-Herman-Norcross followed by Chokio-Alberta, Hillcrest, Brandon-Evansville, Ashby, Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley and Hancock.
