Two injured in Perham crash:
Two Perham area residents were injured and airlifted to Fargo following a two-vehicle accident at 4:18 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Highway 8 and 450th Street on the north side of town.
Audrey Johnson, 91, the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet SUV, received head and chest injuries. Heather Morris, 25, who drove a 1996 Chevrolet, received leg injuries. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department said the injuries were non life-threatening.
Both drivers were taken to the Perham hospital before being airlifted to Fargo.
Erhard accident:
One driver escaped injury Sunday when her vehicle slid off a road along Highway 24 during icy conditions near Erhard. The vehicle driven by Lynette Motz, 55, of Erhard, later struck a street sign.
Vergas burglaries:
Two burglaries in Vergas were reported to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department.
One burglary took place between 10:45 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday at Spanky’s Stone Hearth along Highway 4. Missing was an undetermined amount of money, a cash register and computer. The Sheriff’s Department is continuing the investigation.
The second burglary took place at Al’s Stop & Shop, Vergas. The incident was reported to the Sheriff’s Department at 6:51 a.m. Saturday. Suspects entered the store and took beer, cigarettes and approximately $150.
Assault reported:
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department was called to Marie’s on Main, Underwood, at 1:33 a.m. Saturday. A suspect was cited for fifth degree assault.
